Post Doctorate RA - Molecular Catalysis for CO2 Hydrogenation
Full/Part Time: Full-Time
A postdoctoral researcher is needed in the Catalysis Science Group for experimental research. The position will be focused on the design, synthesis, characterization, and testing of molecular catalysts for the hydrogenation of CO2 and related species. The research will be guided by John Linehan and Eric Wiedner, and it will occur in collaboration with heterogeneous and bioinorganic research teams. In addition to laboratory research, responsibilities will also include attending biweekly group meetings, presenting results in both oral and written form, traveling to conferences, and working as a part of a team. The research will address mission goals for the DOE Office of Basic Energy Sciences.

Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university.
Relevant experience includes:
Synthetic and mechanistic organic/inorganic chemistry
Handling of air-sensitive materials
Proficiency with a range of spectroscopic techniques, particularly NMR
Kinetics and thermodynamics, especially as related to catalysis
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Proficient in written and verbal communication
Independent and highly motivated
