Job Description

• Leads research teams that do one or more of the following:
¿ - Designing and developing algorithms and software for quantum information systems.
¿ - Advancing theories of quantum information sciences.
¿ - Studying the mathematical foundations for quantum information science.
• Produces successful proposals, peer-reviewed papers, technical presentations, and other technical artifacts for internal and external use.

Discipline, principal job duties/expectations, and qualitative and quantitative measures of performance that exceed the Functional Descriptor:
• Leads teams of researchers in applied theoretical and computational research efforts in quantum information science.
• Leads teams of researchers in quantum information sciences, particularly in quantum computing and quantum-enhanced sensing.

Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA with 9 years of experience; MS/MA with 7 years of experience; PhD with 5 years of experience


Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading research and successful proposals in quantum information sciences.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance is preferred.
