Masters Intern - Transformer Intern
Full/Part Time: Part-Time
This position will provide support the Laboratory's research in Optimization and Control of Energy Systems. This position will focus on research related to the electro-thermal model of transformers, as well as the dynamic control of transformers for energy and lifetime saving. A successful candidate will be required to conduct independent research, develop new ideas and contribute to research proposals, engage with sector managers in relevant areas, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present their work to clients and at conferences.

Candidates must be matriculated/enrolled in a Master's program at an accredited college or university. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Good understanding of power system operation and planning, engineering economics and power market
• Familiar with the electro-thermal model of transformers and the calculation of lifetime loss, total owning cost
• Working experience on cost benefit analysis, statistic, and optimization
Pursuing a Master's degree in electric engineering.
