Job Description

-Responsible for performing professional financial/accounting activities including the maintenance, control, analysis and development of complex financial/accounting records, reports and systems. Provides business advice and services to management and staff to ensure compliance with applicable federal laws, regulation, policies and good business practices. Responsible for adherence to communication of business policies and procedures, including the training and interpretation for the various organizations supported.
-Responsible for directing Asset Management functions including property receiving, tagging, asset usage through the asset lifecycle and inventory.
-The incumbent is considered the subject matter expert and will use that expertise to deliver Property Management tools and processes that effectively manage property through its life cycle.
-The incumbents in this position will be responsible for directing both Property Management staff and Bargaining Unit staff matrixed to Asset Management.
-This position will be the primary point of contact for Property Management, therefore, excellent communication, relationship management, and customer service skills will be required. The incumbent is expected to interact with custodians by personal contact, phone and e-mail.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

-Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Federal Property Management Regulations.
-Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM)
-This position requires a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work without direct supervision
-Must have a high level of initiative and demonstrate skills as a proactive problem solver and be able to interact positively with all levels of staff in the execution of job responsibilities.
-Strong communication skills both orally and written are desirable.
-Must be willing to work as a team member and be willing to work cross-functionally across the Lab.
