Building Operations Tech Intern (undergrad)
Full/Part Time: Part-Time
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is seeking a year round (full time summer and part time during school year) student intern, studying engineering at Columbia Basin Community College or Washington State University Tri-Cities, to support continuous commissioning and optimization facility systems.
The selected candidate will work in the Building Operations Control Center (bocc.pnnl.gov) analyzing building energy use, developing building systems sequence of operations documentation, and developing building systems functional test procedures. The candidate will also perform building energy and water audits and assist in final report documentation.
The student will gain extensive knowledge on building automation, building energy analysis, sequence of operation, development of work plans, documentation/record keeping in Excel & Autodesk Vault software and gain experience in building operations with regards to optimal energy use.

Candidates must be degree-seeking students enrolled at an accredited college or university. Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.5.
Candidates must be mechanical or computer engineering degree-seeking student enrolled at an accredited college or university.
Good mathematical and organizational skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred candidates will have computer programming C++ and/or python, and understanding of networks and integration.
